This call is open to African and Diasporan designers who meet the following criteria:

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:

• Be of African or Caribbean descent, including nationals from Brazil and the Dominican Republic.
• Have a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in the fashion industry.
• Have developed at least two (2) ready-to-wear and/or accessories collections for women or unisex markets, including clothing, shoes, jewellery, bags or related categories.
• Have complete professional sales materials, including a lookbook, line sheet and price list.
• Have demonstrated prior sales experience through wholesale, e-commerce and/or retail and be able to evidence reliable production capacity.
• Be prepared and available to participate fully in CANEX WKND 2026 from 5–8 November 2026.
• Be prepared for international buyer engagement and distribution conversations.
• Demonstrate an eco-responsible or sustainable dimension within their collections and/or brand practices.
• Be able to self-sponsor the cost of flights and accommodation to Lagos, Nigeria for CANEX WKND 2026.
